Lourensford Market Reopens for the Season with a Free Bok van Blerk Show

Lourensford Market in Somerset West reopens for the new season on Friday, 4 September, with a free live performance from Afrikaans singer-songwriter Bok van Blerk headlining opening night.
Van Blerk takes the stage at 19:30, with a set expected to include hits such as “Die Land”, “Hardekole”, “Lemoene”, “Tyd om te Trek” and “68 Chevy”. The performance is free to attend, though seating is first-come, first-served, so early arrival is recommended.
Opening night also marks the debut of refreshed branding, furniture and stalls for the season, alongside new and returning vendors. The market, set on Lourensford Wine Estate in the Helderberg, runs to around 60 stalls spanning handmade crafts, local artwork, artisanal produce, estate wines, craft beer and street-food-style options, with jungle gyms, putt-putt, art jamming, archery and interactive fountains keeping families entertained. It’s dog-friendly and pram-friendly, with dogs required to stay on a leash.
